Online Therapy in San Francisco, California
Psychotherapy for Trauma, Anxiety, Grief, and Life Transitions

A thoughtful space to understand yourself, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful change.

Life in San Francisco can be stimulating, ambitious, and full of possibility. It can also bring significant emotional demands. Professional pressures, demanding technology careers, parenting responsibilities, relationship difficulties, relocation, and unexpected losses can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about how to move forward.
I offer online psychotherapy for adults throughout San Francisco, California, specializing in trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, expat and relocation experiences, and major life transitions.

My approach combines psychodynamic psychotherapy and EMDR, bringing together an understanding of how early experiences, relationships, and unresolved emotional conflicts shape our present-day lives.
Whether you are navigating a difficult personal experience, adjusting to life in a new country, struggling with anxiety, or questioning patterns that no longer serve you, therapy can provide an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and move toward lasting change.
Areas of Specialization

Trauma and Complex Trauma
Difficult experiences do not always end when the event itself is over. Childhood adversity, relational trauma, emotionally unpredictable environments, and painful life experiences can continue to influence how we experience ourselves, regulate emotions, and connect with others.
I work with adults processing:
-
Childhood and developmental trauma
-
Complex and relational trauma
-
Emotional neglect and attachment difficulties
-
Shame, self-criticism, and difficulties with self-worth
-
Persistent anxiety and emotional dysregulation
-
The impact of distressing or overwhelming life events
My work integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy and EMDR to address both the emotional roots and present-day impact of traumatic experiences.

Anxiety, Stress, and Perfectionism
High achievement and professional success do not necessarily translate into emotional well-being. Many people who appear to manage demanding lives successfully experience persistent anxiety, excessive responsibility, perfectionism, and an ongoing sense of pressure.
Therapy can help you understand the underlying patterns contributing to anxiety and develop a more sustainable relationship with work, relationships, and yourself.
I work with adults experiencing:
-
Chronic worry and overthinking
-
Perfectionism and fear of failure
-
Workplace stress and burnout
-
High-functioning anxiety
-
Difficulty setting boundaries
-
Emotional exhaustion and difficulty slowing down
Grief, Bereavement, and Loss
Grief extends beyond the death of someone we love. It can emerge through the end of a relationship, changes in family life, infertility and reproductive experiences, loss of identity, migration, or the realization that life has taken a different direction than expected.
I offer a supportive space for adults navigating:
-
Bereavement and the death of a loved one
-
Anticipatory grief and illness in the family
-
Complicated family relationships and unresolved loss
-
Divorce, separation, and relationship endings
-
Reproductive grief and difficult fertility experiences
-
Migration grief and the loss of a familiar life
-
Identity changes and significant life transitions
Therapy can help you make room for the complexity of grief, process difficult emotions, and gradually find ways to move forward while honoring what has been lost.
Therapy for Expats and International Professionals

San Francisco is home to a diverse international community, including professionals who have relocated to the Bay Area for opportunities in technology, business, academia, and other industries.
Building a life in a new country can be both rewarding and emotionally complicated. The experience may involve cultural adjustment, loneliness, separation from family, changes in identity, and the challenge of creating a sense of belonging in an unfamiliar environment.
I have a particular interest in working with expats and internationally mobile professionals navigating:
-
Migration and relocation-related grief
-
Cultural adjustment and identity transitions
-
Loneliness and difficulties establishing meaningful connections
-
Relationships and family life across countries
-
Parenting between cultures
-
Separation from aging parents and family members abroad
-
The tension between professional opportunities and personal belonging
Having lived and worked in Argentina and the United States, I bring an understanding of the emotional complexity of living between cultures and building a life away from one's country of origin.
Therapy is available in English and Spanish.
Psychotherapy for Technology Professionals

The San Francisco Bay Area attracts ambitious, creative, and highly accomplished professionals, particularly within the technology sector. Behind professional achievement, however, there may be significant emotional demands that are difficult to acknowledge or address.
I work with technology professionals navigating:
-
Workplace stress and burnout
-
Performance pressure and perfectionism
-
Imposter feelings and professional identity
-
Anxiety related to uncertainty and change
-
Work-life boundaries and relationship strain
-
Career transitions and questions of meaning
-
The emotional impact of high-pressure professional environments
Therapy offers a confidential space outside the demands of work, where you can reflect on your experiences, understand recurring patterns, and consider what a more balanced and meaningful life might look like.
Life Transitions, Relationships, and Parenting
Some of life's most challenging moments occur during transitions that are expected to be positive: becoming a parent, moving to a new city, advancing professionally, entering adulthood, or reaching midlife.
These changes can bring questions about identity, relationships, expectations, and the direction of one's life.
I support adults navigating:
-
Relocation and major life changes
-
Parenthood and evolving family relationships
-
Relationship difficulties and recurring interpersonal patterns
-
Career changes and professional transitions
-
Midlife and women's life transitions
-
Self-esteem, boundaries, and personal identity
My Approach to Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic psychotherapy explores the relationship between past experiences and present-day emotional life. It considers how early relationships, unconscious patterns, internal conflicts, and emotional experiences influence the ways we think, feel, and relate to others.
Rather than focusing exclusively on symptom reduction, this approach creates opportunities for deeper self-understanding and meaningful, lasting change.

EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach used in the treatment of trauma and distressing experiences.
EMDR can help people process memories that remain emotionally activating and reduce the ways those experiences affect their present lives. Treatment is individualized and proceeds at a pace appropriate to each person's needs and readiness.
I am an EMDR Certified Therapist™ and integrate EMDR with a broader understanding of each individual's history and emotional experience.
