PAYMENT

Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted for payment.

Check or cash are the safest way to preserve client’s confidentiality and provide a greater control to clients. You can use this option if you’d like.

If you choose credit card as your preferable form of payment, I use a HIPAA compliant system (Stripe). The information of your credit card will be automatically encrypted once you submit the paperwork with the information.

All fees are due at the time of service.

I don’t accept Venmo, Zelle, PayPal or Apple Pay because they are not HIPAA compliant systems.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 48 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. I do my best to try to reschedule sessions based on availability.

More information about my policy can be found in the Informed Consent.

INSURANCE

I don’t accept insurance. Depending on your plan, you might be able to receive reimbursement for the treatment you receive in my private practice. I can provide a Superbill at the end of the month that you can submit to your insurance.

Questions to ask to your insurance providers:

• Do you accept or do you provide reimbursement for out-of-network providers?

• Does the amount paid by my insurance company depend on whether I see a professional who is “in your network or preferred provider list” or “outside the network”?

• If so, what is the difference in the amount paid or percent reimbursement for “in network” vs. “out of network” providers?

• Do you cover sessions with pre-licensed clinicians, under the supervision of a licensed therapist?

• Do I need a diagnosis to get coverage for treatment?

• Is there a specific list of diagnoses for which services are covered?

• What is the amount of my deductible?

• What is the number of mental health visits for which I’m covered? Do you have any limitations regarding number of sessions that are covered for an out-of-network provider?

• Do I need a referral from my primary care physician to see a mental health professional?
